SLAYER's 'War At The Warfield' Debuts At No. 3 On Music DVD Chart!
August 12, 2003SLAYER's "War At The Warfield" DVD has sold over 7,000 copies during its first week of release to debut at No. 3 on Billboard's Music DVD chart. The disc has also performed impressively outside the U.S., with Top 10 debuts in Canada (No. 1),Germany (No. 2) and the U.K. (No. 4).
As previously reported, "War At The Warfield" (view cover here) was recorded at San Francisco's The Warfield on Dec. 7, 2001 during the band's "God Hates The World" tour. It marks one of the last live appearances with the group of drummer Paul Bostaph, who announced his departure from the band shortly before Christmas 2001 due to a "chronic elbow injury." Bostaph has since joined San Francisco Bay Area metallers SYSTEMATIC, who issued their sophomore album, titled "Pleasure To Burn", in April through Elektra Records.
